Puzzle

I posted it here a few years ago but for new members here it is again.

This is not a trick question:

Walsh took a hatrick against Australia spread over three overs. How did he do it?

  • 1st wicket (9th out of the inning) on the last ball of an over.
  • 2nd wicket (last out of the inning) on the 1st ball of his next over.
  • 3rd wicket (1st out of the next inning) on the 1st ball of his 1st over.

It does Fakeer, Walsh took three wickets in three consecutive balls in the same match. Where it would not have counted if he had taken three wickets in three balls spread over two matches.
