Re: Putting your trust in God
2 Chronicles 20:14-19
14 Then in the midst of the assembly the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, the Levite of the sons of Asaph;
15 and he said, “Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.
16 ‘Tomorrow go down against them. Behold, they will come up by the ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the valley in front of the wilderness of Jeruel.
17 ‘You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ *Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the Lord is with you.” *
18 Jehoshaphat abowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshiping the Lord.
19 The Levites, from the sons of the Kohathites and of the sons of the Korahites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel, with a very loud voice.

**YUSUFALI:* And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion.
PICKTHAL: And will provide for him from (a quarter) whence he hath no expectation. And whosoever putteth his trust in Allah, He will suffice him. Lo! Allah bringeth His command to pass. Allah hath set a measure for all things.
SHAKIR: And give him sustenance from whence he thinks not; and whoever trusts in Allah, He is sufficient for him; surely Allah attains His purpose; Allah indeed has appointed a measure for everything.

**YUSUFALI:* (But) among (their) Allah-fearing men were two on whom Allah had bestowed His grace: They said: "Assault them at the (proper) Gate: when once ye are in, victory will be yours; But on Allah put your trust if ye have faith."
PICKTHAL: Then out spake two of those who feared (their Lord, men) unto whom Allah had been gracious: Enter in upon them by the gate, for if ye enter by it, lo! ye will be victorious. So put your trust (in Allah) if ye are indeed believers.
SHAKIR: Two men of those who feared, upon both of whom Allah had bestowed a favor, said: Enter upon them by the gate, for when you have entered it you shall surely be victorious, and on Allah should you rely if you are believers.

Putting one’s trust in the Lord [tawakkul] is actually the first of three stages, namely: (1) the basic sense of trust [tawakkul], then (2) the act of surrender or resignation [taslim], and then (3) the act of delegation [tafwid]. The person who is at the stage of basic trust [al-mutawakkil] is one who feels confident in relying on the promise [wa’d] of his Lord. The person who is at the stage of surrender or resignation [sahib at-taslim] is one who is content to rely on His knowledge 'ilm]. The person who is at the stage of delegation [sahib at-tafwid] is one who is happy to accept His judgment [hukm].
Someone asked Yahya ibn Mu’adh [ar-Razi] (may Allah the Exalted bestow His mercy upon him) : “When does a man become someone who is absolutely trustful [mutawakkil]?” To this he replied: “When he is perfectly satisfied with Allah as a Trustee [Wakil].”
It was Bishr [al-Hafi] (may Allah the Exalted bestow His mercy upon him) who said: “One of them may say: 'I have put all my trust in Allah [tawakkaltu 'ala ‘llah],’ although he is actually telling a lie. For, by Allah, if he had really put all his trust in Allah, he would be perfectly content with the way Allah treats him.”
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) is reported as having said: “A man once rode into town on a fine she-camel of his, and he said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, shall I just leave her unattended, and put my trust in the Lord [ada’u-ha wa atawakkalu]?’ So the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) told him: ‘Hobble her feet with a rope, and put your trust in the Lord [a’qil-ha wa tawakkal]!’”

Good read!!!
Re: Putting your trust in God
Before one could trust anything one needs proof. Trust is not at all about blind faith. Priestly class has totally corrupted divine scriptures by their misinterpretations and misrepresentations.
When the quran says put your trust in Allah, it means trust the laws put in place for operating the universe ie fire burns and that is the law of Allah. Can God be so silly to ask people things that are senseless?
You reap what you sow with varying opportunities of respite for putting things right or nature will take its course is law of requital or consequences. You eat poison you die. So Allah wants people to understand the way world works and use it to take advantage of nature. The universe is open for exploitation for mankind says the quran ie everything is subservient for mankind. It is up to man to remain less than all animals or rise above them to heights.
Likewise quran uses phrases like ITTA QULLAH, it means be consistent with the constitution of Allah ie the quran. It does not mean fear Allah because Allah is gracious and merciful not fearful monster. Man has been given free will and shown the way and that is why Allah does not interfere in zone he has given to mankind but he has made clear the law of consequences or cause and effect and left to people to jump in the fire of hell of their making or paradise of their own making. He holds people to account according to these set laws clearly operating through out universe.
Make beliefs against the teaching of divine scriptures are very dangerous. This is why people must wake up from the slumber their priests have pout them in to through hypnosis of saying few words and thinking they will be now safe. Salvation is not that easy or that cheap. Don’t be fooled by priests and politicians etc distributing blissful hereafter the while they make you this life hell.
May God help us towards proper understanding of his message. But it is up to ourselves to at least give it a good try. Normally we do not believe in anything happening itself that is why some of us turn turn to scriptures yet when it comes to creating paradise for ourselves here on the earth we just accept whatever our priests tell us and make no effort to find out where are these guys leading us. Shows how smart we are.
