Putting Children In DayCare

Re: Putting Children In DayCare

I agree with X2. You should investigate your options thoroughly. If you can find a good daycare, I recommend it. My son who just turned 2 is now in his 2nd daycare, which he loves. This place also has very few students per teacher, and the teachers are actually very caring. I get a daily report of what he did/ate/bathroom etc...and if ever there are issues I able to talk to them, and also if anything happens they call me. I have been lucky with this place. Plu sit is enriching, they have an excellent program, curriculum, activities are planned. They have so many activities/which teach so many different skills, and just keep them occupied in a healthy manner, as opposed to watching tv all day with a nanny.

Again you have the good/bad/ugly centers so make sure to do research. If you do happen to find a caregiver, I would recommend getting a certified one, with a thorough background check. There are desi anties who will sit the kid in front of tv all day or there are some nannies, that also plan out activities for the child thru the day that are enriching. Best of Luck.
