Sheen - These decision are hard esp on mothers. My kids started in daycare at the age of 2. 14 months is still a bit small because your child cannot communicate.
Just be prepared - they will get sick initially (infections etc). There is a transition period. It's tough for the kids and the parents for the first 2-3 weeks.
My daughters went to excellent daycare - they had daily reports, activities. They had a "no yelling" policy. Still it's NOT the same as you or your husband taking care of him.
There are pros and cons to everything. "At home help is not that reliable but atleast your child will be at fimilair surroundings".
I would get a relaible nanny for atleast for another year. She can help you with house stuff as well. I would NOT put him in daycare at 14 months.
