Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

I can ride and shoot at the same time. I am proud to have retained an ancient skill. I can slamfire shotguns, use lever action rifles one handed, pump benneli 12 gauges one handed, and shoot 3 arrows at one time from a bow that most men would struggle to pull without tearing a muscle. Shame warfare is not like this anymore otherwise me and my brethren would beat the stuffing out of any army that faced us, though we might be too lazy to conquer the world anyway and just tend our flocks. :)

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

I rode a roller coaster about 8 times in a row....and I think 13 times altogether. That was fun...not the slightest big of nasuea or a headhache :)

More recently I got a pedicure done by this girl whom I didn't know at all......and after the pedicure I went to watch a movie with her at the theater, LOL. That was weird, never done anything like that before.

There are some other examples as well, but those are the ones that come to mind for now.

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

I drove a go cart in class (industrial technology) and nearly ran some construction guy over after I swerved and lost control. Coming to think of it, it was fun class as we made fired rockets as well, though mine was lost somewhere in the houses around our school so I never went and looked for it.

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

craziest spontaneous stuff?

decided on a whim to go bungee jumping off a gondola in swiss alps the same time the world record was being set.

join in an across campus streak run wearing a bill clinton mask during undergrad

joined Hari Krishnas at oxford street for a 5 quid bet from my cousin. not just for a mint or two, but I did several blocks with them basically from top man/topshop at oxford circus all the way to the old HMV store just before tottenham court road

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

man oh man this is some interesting stuff....keep it coming guys....

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

A halo jump from a cargo plane

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

^ I so want to do that one day. Bungee jumping scares me somewhat as what if your rope broke? I guess I have more faith in my parachute not failing at high altitudes.. :D

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

I wanna try indoor skydiving.

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

The best way i can describe it to you. Its nerve racking at first but once the adrenaline takes over you feel pretty damn invincible :D

Re: Put on your dancing shoes…

good stuff guys keep 'em coming :biggthumb:

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

i once got off the train in India when it had just entered the platform and probably moving at 20 km/hr...the platform was crowded with passengers so i had to maneuver myself in order to avoid hitting them...it was scary!!!...i fell after some distance abd bruised my elbows and knees. :)

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

On a Firday evening, just before a 4-day weekend, we were playing football in our hostel. I suddenly thought of my aunt in Kerala whom I had not seen in 5+ years and made an impromtu decision to visit. Verified with a keralite classmate that train to Keral was in 45 min - rushed to room, changed, had to take bus to gate, then 2 buses to train station. As I reached Madras central, the train was about to leave. Asked the TT if I can buy ticket inside train. He said no - you have to buy at the counter. I thanked him and proceeded into a jam packed unreserved compartment. Thankfully I ran into another person from same univ - he was getting down 3 hours later. Our compartment was next to the engine. The train would wait 5 min at that stop. So when his stop came, I entrusted my luggage (just a small bag) with passengers, ran with him to gate, he bought my ticket gave it to me, I ran back to my compartment and made it just about.

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

my first thanksgiving in US, a german pal and i were driving from my uni town to wichita, and then someone asked if we can drop him at dallas and he will pay for all the gas there and back and hotels, so we did, and then as soon as we get to dallas he disappeared.

so what do two foreign students barely 4 months into US driving a beat up 10 year old chrysler boat size car do? we drive to mexico city!!!!! :D that trip was so funny, i can write an entire book. we ended up staying almost an extra week, and no one knew we had gone to mexico, so poise reports were out and had state troopers looking for us and/or our dead bodies in texas, oklahoma and kansas.

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

Me and my friends did a midnight road trip to london around 11pm at night from uni about a 2 hour drive, we found lots of fun stuff to do all night , we had breakfast in some posh place, drove back singing really loudly so we wouldnt fall asleep esp the driver.

Went to uni for 11 am. Then slept 20 hours that night.

Re: Put on your dancing shoes...

oh the list is quite long mA.

I had a triangular trip across England and wales in 24 hours. First I drove from London to Cardiff to attend a concert. Stopped in bristol to visit the places mentioned in 'treasure island'. Reached Cardiff around 7 pm.. attended concert. Had dinner after concert and left for middlesbrough. We were on a clock as bungee jump was due at 9 am. I drove all night in rain. The friend who was with me had slept and I had a drive of my life with the music and all. Went on a completely direction on my way though but thankfully reached on time for the jump. Did it TWICE after flirting with the instructor successfully. She let me and my friend jump again and out of turn. How sweet was that lol. Then from middlesbrough, i drove all the way to Luton, reached in the evening, dropped my brother's call and then took a train to london where i was supposed to attend a george micheal concert. Crazy day it was.

jumped from a cliff from khanpur in extremely cold water with a broken life jacket (I didnt know it was broken lol)

Went to complete a ulter trek in hunza in record time. THAT was memorable.
