Put me to sleep.

sigh…
happens every few year when I can’t sleep. Then I do make my self tired and fall asleep.
But when first time ,in the morning,I wakeup at 6-7am, cant go back to sleep. I plan to and normally do sleep till 8am.

Back in the day I used to go out and lie on couch, put some boring channel on on TV and that used to work for me. Now TV is broken too.

F-in life.

Re: Put me to sleep.

You have been drinking way too much green tea.

1-you girls are so insensitive, I have this emotional condition :(
2-green tea do put me to sleep instantly, specially when I work out too much and get strain in my nerves.

hmmmmm

Re: Put me to sleep.

when you find a solution tell me too :hinna:

Re: Put me to sleep.

hmmm

1-make sure room is not too warm.
2-put tv on to divert attention.
3-next evening work out more.

Occasional solitude helps figuring out things.

Maybe I should take my own advise. :omg:

Re: Put me to sleep.

Re: Put me to sleep.

Have some milk before you go to sleep

Take a shower before you sleep...............itneeee sukoon ki neend ati hai

Chamomile tea supposedly helps

Reading a text book always does it for me

Chamomile tea, warm milk and honey might help. U won't get much sleep if u workout right before sleeping..

Re: Put me to sleep.

I have this problem, on and off. In fact i even opened a thread about it in this section! I had this yoga teacher tell me about this deep breathing exercise... sounds funny but it really worked:

2-to-1 breathing

This breathing exercise relaxes the body by subtly stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, thereby inducing a state of relaxation.

As you lie in bed, gently slow down the rate of exhalation until you exhale for twice as long as you inhale. You can coax a longer exhalation by contracting the abdomen slightly.
Don’t try to fill or empty or empty the lungs completely – you are simply changing the rhythm of your breath.

In the beginning it may help to count to six on the exhalation and three on the inhalation, or four on the exhalation and two on the inhalation (or any other 2-to –1 ratio you find comfortable).

Focus on the smoothness and evenness of your breath, gradually eliminating any jerks and pauses.

Counting Breaths

Using the effortless 2-to-1 pattern described above, lie in bed and pay close attention to you breath. It should flow smoothly, evenly, and continuously. When the pattern is well established, take:

  • 8 breaths lying on your back
  • 16 breaths lying on your right side
  • 32 breaths lying on your left side

Apparently, very few people get that far to completing that exercise.... give it a try PM.

reflexology works wonders for sleep disorders, would highly recommend it.

I would fall asleep listening to recorded university lectures (while trying to pay attention).
