Re: Pashto/pakhtu for beginners…
Walaikum Dear Brother.
Nice, how are you my Kashmiri Brother? By the way, the word KASHMIR is a male name amonmg Afghans [Pashtuns], one of my mum’s uncle is Kashmir Khan.
Don’t now how it became a male name.
I don’t know a lot about the Afghans of Kashmir, but i do know that there were over 300,000 Afghans estimated in 1992. All of whom spoke Pashto, whilst those in India mostly adopted Urdu/Hindi as their spoken language. They have played a major role in protecting their Kashmiri Brothers, they were also responsible for the creation of Azad Kashmir, although they could take over the whole of Kashmir at once [from the Indians], but i wonder who stoped them from doing that? Anyways, i like my Kashmiri Muslims, like every Kashmiri, i as an Afghan love to see a UNITED Kashmir free from foreign influence. It is VERY rich in natural beauty, Allah SWT has gifted it with mighty rich beauty! Mash’Allah…
By the way, can anyone tell me what language the Kashmirian speak? Do they speak a language of their own?
