I have done my MBBS in china at very low fees. Indian colleges ask for very high donation from our parents and their fee structure is also more expensive than any Asian countries. Chinese colleges have great infrastructure and facilities with modern equipment. There are lots of universities available where students can get admission

Heard from someone in London that his daughter is doing an MBBS in China. He says education is good and in English. Heard of someone from Pakistan has also gone to China to study. It seems a lot of people instead of coming to the west are going to china nowadays.
Costs may be a huge factor as well as proximity and ability to get a visa somewhat. Even as far back as 80s many ppl were going to Philippines, Cyprus etc. It is also becoming tougher for people to come on student visa and work along with studies. It still happens and much of it under the table but with that being tougher the costs and available resources and income options don't compute for many.

Yes , I know a few people who have done their MBBS in China and as X2 rightly mentioned, cost is a major issue but so is the proximity . Mashallah 4 of those I know are girls and they are doing pretty well for themselves now ..
The quality of education is pretty much the same as they get in the Private colleges of Pakistan. ( I am not including the cream universities like King Edward or Allama Iqbal in Lahore, coz they are vey high merited ) China , the merit isnt very high to get admission, but once you finish your degree there, you get good opportunities in Pakistan and other middle eastern countries.
Though alot depends on how you further your quals by specializing ..

I have worked with quite a few graduates from China and I am sorry to say, I found them all to be of 'made in China' quality. Same goes for the lot graduating from so many private medical colleges in Pakistan. Russian and Ukranian grads are better though

I know someone who did the opposite thing. Completed her med studies in Pakistan and is now practicing in China.

i know of a lot of people who have done or are doing their MBBS from China and while their prospects may be similar to their counterparts in pakistan or middle east...they have a rough time in the US, Chinese education is kinda looked down upon in the states....but then again as with students who do their med school in any other country (including the US) the main thing that counts in the states when you are applying for residencies (aka house jobs) are your USMLE scores [of course if you havent had a quality education your USMLEs may suffer as well]

She attended Chinese classes prior to her move to China. So I guess that helped her.
