i also think royal blue and dark purple would look great.. im not sure if the dupatta in the pic below is purple or maroon but purple will look great with that rich blue colour:

i think purple and light grey would look nice. also, purple and ivory/cream would look really elegant. for a more adventurous look, purple and turquoise or purple and hot pink would be fun :)

I am having a combination of three tones of purple for my walima :)
A creamy light purple, a bit darker purple and a shade bit darker than that. Honestly, it looks amazing. Why dont you go for light purple and dark purple combination?

I just got married last month and wore a greyish silver and deep purple (eggplant) :)

purple is one of my favourite colours and the upcoming colour for fall 2012.

well you can combine purple with red, eggplant wid grey, purple with red, purple with bottlegreen, purple with magenta, purple with turqoise, purple with yellow (ideal for mehndi), purple with sukhi mehndi ka rang... a lot of colourcombos possible just depend what a purple you lookin for :)

@chamak - I don’t have a full picture yet, but this is my valima outfit. The purple looks really dark in this picture (it’s from a friends camera) but it’s eggplant purple - the purple is similar to the deep purple and fuscia/bright pink outfit in this thread.

I also wore variations of purple on my other 2 days!
Mehendi - Emerald green, navy blue and a magenta-ish purple. Picture hereShaadi - Red with deep purple (it was almost the same shade as my valima outfit but the red made it look lighter). Picture here
