I am really particular with clothing, kaam, and colors.
I am scared to have someone else make my lengha and have them make a mistake on a small detail that has a huge effect.
For example, some people see the color turquiose and call it blue, some consider a shade of shocking pink to be call peach.
I discovered this store in Hicksville NY called Nazzakat. It’s a store which is owned by Sikh’s and they get their inventory from India.
Most of their clothes were GORGEOUS, and they have the ability to custom make lenghas to your price range.
However I do know that I could get the same outfit made in pakistan and it would be cheaper. But is it worth the risk? Ok so say you save $500 on each outfit, that will be about $1000. Is it worth the stress and confusion of the wrong colors, kaam, and material being used. I mean even if i send examples of everything, what if they mess up?
Nazzakat state they are willing to go back and forth and make changes if they make a mistake, I know that all business say that, and they dont end up following through. But I think it will make my life much easier if I can point and show exactly what color, kaam, and material I want.
What do you think is best? I am on a budget, if I wasn’t I would just get it made from here and not worry about ne thing lol.
Ladies, I need some help, I don't want to be too picky... I need to know the best way to get a lengha made. My price range is $800 - $1600 each, and I need two lenghas.
Desi_BeauTii, definitely look into the GS designers, they are some lovely options, but also check out sila.com. Its a boutique run by a Pakistani designer here in the US - everything is made there, & is very good quality. I’ve bought a couple of suits from her. She has some lovely lengha designs on her site, but you can also tell her what color/style/budget you are working in & she will custom design for you & then source the materials. if you ask they will send you samples of the materials for your approval so you can check the colors.
She definitely has jora available in the price range you mention.
I love this gharara’s colors & kaam - you could probably ask her if their gharara & suit designs are also available as lengha if you see something you like.
