It has come to notice that in order for the dehatis of the gaons and pinds, a new computer software is being developed that will enable the villagers of Pakistan to operate a computer without a keyboard. The company for now, just to make it initially easy has taken the ‘filmi’ Punjabi as a launch language for easy accessibility. Here are a few commands introduced as yet:
OYE! = Turn on computer.
AAAHHH! = Turn off computer.
Ki oye = Help Topic
Aye oye = Yes
Mitti paa = Cancel
Chal paray = No
Tuadi maan nu = Disk scan
Tuadi pain nu = Ctrl-Alt-Delete
Bhangra = Winamp
Ithay laa = Kazaa
Ithay phurh = Save
The programmers are still working on the prototype and hope to have the final product out by the end of 2004. Any other suggestions would be very welcome to the programmers…
