Here we go, these are called interjections.

In calling to a person, the interjection (Oh!) varies according to the gender of the person addressing or addressed

Man Calling to Man: Vo
Addressed to a woman: Ni
Woman calling a man: Ve
Woman calling to a woman: vaN, aRii

(This is for Multani by the way, not sure if it applies to standard Punjabi)
