Entisar, there is no harm in students taking part in politics and in matured political systems it's the breeding ground for future leadership. But we also have to keep Pakistan's political culture in mind. Every student wing is extension of their mother political party and in most cases they work as on-street-force for these parties. You should know that every student wing in Karachi & everywhere else, let it be Jamiat, APMSO, PSF, JSSF etc etc, is armed to teeth. There is no GENUIN politics involved in these student bodies. These student wings also get all sort of "MATERIAL" support and the "manpower" from their mother parties in case of a "conflict" with opponent student wing. Denying it, would be naivety on our part. So as long as this is in practice, it's wise to stay away and concentrate on studies. After finishing studies they should definitely take part in active politics.
I am not talking about your comments. They are reasonable.
I am referring to post number 3.
Those comments were superficial and probably came from a person who never been to Karachi.
Bhaijaan
I have not lived in Karachi but visited Karachi 5-6 times in 90s, as i had few close friends there. Few of my relatives also live in Karachi. I have already stated that it is "usually" quite safe but if trouble ensues then no one cal guarantee one's saftey. My neighbours brother was abducted from karachi university, beaten up badly and thrown near airport. Was picked up by a taxi driver who brought him to hospital, where he died after couple of hours. His only crime was that his cousin used to be a member of PSF. The guy himself was so weak that he could hardly carry himself, never harmed a fly.
Then again the "risks" are always relative, you may not see it that way, because you happen to live there. If someone asks you about saftey in London, you will probably term it very safe , (it is compared to Pakistan) but yet it has been described as most dangerous city of western europe.
Re: Punjabi students Can they study in universities of Karachi safely
Thanks. Bhaijan I know all these things and I was not going to say to OP that Karachi was safe heaven. I know the risk. Thats why I was the first to respond and ask her where that institute was loacted so that I could advise him/her accordingly.
But your response was very negative one.
Look at the postive replies of those non-Karachites who have lived and studied here.

You are right , we Pakistan needs Maturity , Tolerance and wholeheartedness in Politics.
Which unfortunately we do not have.
I think our Policy makers should also think for their Generations not for theirselves only.
If this trends continued in Pakistan , what could be expected in Future , notheing but distruction , corruption , poverty and lawlessness ?
Fielding our innocents youngesters in the Nasty system of prevailing Political system would not be a wise advise.
But , Still I have one Hope , there are some Organizations doing very well in Politics.
