According to 1941 census muslims formed 53.1 % of combined Punjab, and now considering the present populations they are hovering around 57-58 % which can be explained by the following table. While discussing the topic on hand that there are no hindus in Pakistani Punjab the topic is incomplete to see the other side of the story as well.
