The bottom line is that if we do not like a person or a leader for reasons xyz, we should not ignore his good deeds abc.
Altaf Hussain probably is the worst ethnic leader in our history. Even though you and I may not find any good in him, perhaps other people will.
One probably could praise Altaf if he ever cleans up Karachi, or builds some infrastructure.
Going back to Ayub Khan with all his mistakes, follys, troubles etc. he still did a lot more good for the country than anyone else since then (with exception of NS's tour #1).
