desert_bird, we know you are paid by Noon but let me tell you one thing that will give you some insight. Goto election commission website and compare the results of Lahore from 2008 and 2013. You will get your answers.
As far as business friendly stuff, sooner or later people will know that the projects and infact double the numbers can be done by any government. You borrow money from IMF and WB and polish your politics in your base. But people of Punjab are seeing that only base is being rewarded, elsewhere the development started after the 2011 southern Punjab province movement.
Sharif brothers know how to buy. Be it journalists, judges or votes. True leadership doesn't bribe people, but give them clean system, easy justice, free education and long term prosperity planning that includes how to become debt free. Remember these great baldies "Mulk Sanwaro" scheme in which they ate up Billions. They are into politics to make money.
As for the PTI in Lahore, even a mere 6 seats and overall 40% vote means, NS monopoly is gone. Imagine, this is something Benazir could only dreamt of. PPP's inner circle will tell you the story how desperately she wanted to regain central Punjab but couldn't for two decades. PTI did it in just one election in the middle of all the development projects.
