LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Monday passed a resolution unanimously demanding President Pervez Musharraf to seek vote of confidence.

The resolution states that under the Constitution, Punjab Assembly is part of Electoral College and that the house deems Presidential election of October 2007 as un-constitutional.
President Musharraf suspended the Constitution twice, violated the Constitution and overthrew democratic government.
The resolution said President is supposed to be a representative of the Federation but President Musharraf weakend the Federation and inter-provincial harmony leading to a sense of deprivation among provinces.
His policies plunged the country into political, economic as well as power crisis.
The resolution demanded President Pervez Musharraf to seek vote of confidence from the four provincial assemblies including Punjab Assembly. Failing to get the vote, an impeachment motion would be moved against him, it added.

Someone remind me how many seats PML (Q) have in Punjab Assembly.
PML(Q) and the dictator should take note.
_ I will respect judges decision (remember Nov3)
-If the people of Pakistan reject me I will step down. (I will not resign)
Zia was famous for being CMLA (not Chief Martial Law Administrator) but Cancel My Last Announcement.
The tradition continues with the illegal president.
92.24% of the elected representatives from the largest province of Pakistan...representing 56% of our population with more than 60% share in GDP have shown their non confidence in the illegal President....anybody else with slightest bit of shame would have resigned immediately...but again we are dealing with the most besharam person in the history of our country....who can go to any extent of beghairity to save his kursi....
86.29% of elected representatives from NWFP assembly show their non confidence in the beghairat illegal president…what a shame that the dictator is still hanging on…even his old friends such as Sherpao now have taken a clear stance against the illegal president…

Hmmm, I was thinking they'd probably vote against the impeachment but by their boycot they have helped the impeachment process. BTW, what was the reason of boycott? It seems like MQM played diplomatic game there.
