I hear good and bad things about both artists.
punita - she is a lil fussy, runs late, but mehendi is creative and dark
dimple - expensive, always on the phone while she applies mehendi, but awesome work and dark mehendi
i just dont know which to choose. Help?
what have any of you heard about these ladies?
p.s has anyone ever heard of pinkysbride..if so how is she?

Dimple!!! She was never on the phone throughout my bridal appointment and then I had about 15 girls she applied henna for, too. Her work is beautiful and very different stylistically from Punita's and IMHO she's worth every penny. She's also very professional in that you give her a deposit, she gives you a receipt, notes down your appointment and shows up on time. When I called Punita for my wedding, she was distracted, completely unprofessional and was reluctant to commit to a time. It seems she prefers a "range" instead of hours that she may show up in. She's consistently late to appointments as well- she showed up to do my bff's mehendi close to midnight the night before the wedding. She showed up late to do my SIL's mehendi as well and that meant she had to delay running her errands, etc. and re-organize her whole day to fit in with Punita's overbooking. NOT something an already stressed bride-to-be should be dealing with just before her wedding.
Plus, Dimple happily travelled to where I was (in the Yonge/Sheppard area) whereas Punita blatanly refused. So for me, the choice was clear as soon as I met Dimple. My profile pic shows the mehendi Dimple did on the back of my hands and the color was dark and rich without being black and gross on my palms too.

$150 but i just got my hands, front and back, a couple of inches past my wrist. i didn't really want my feet done or mehendi up to my elbows.

Dimple! She did an amazing job and she was worth every penney! and btw, she was never on the phone when she was doing mehndi/makeup on me!

Dimple shah did my cousin’s… she wasnt on phone at all. was very fast in her work. and the color came out awesome. she told her not to wash her hands for 24 hours. my cousin took it off before that… but still it was dark enough that after 2 weeks when she went to pak. it was still very much clear.
punita… my other cousin has hired her for her wedding in may. but my friends always have good words for her. other then that she is expensive.

Ive booked with Dimple! She did my SIL's mehndi and it was gorgeous! She was not on the phone at all!

ive gone to punita and she is always running late...shes kind of unprofessional..anyhow..shes very good though amazing mehndi and the color is always perfect
pinkysbride- ive gone to ambreen many many times and i'd definately say she does a great job..her mehndi color is good as well and shes very very nice...her prices are reasonable too....you should consider her...

i think im going to go with punita..tell her to come real earl in the morning like 8am...and if she runs late 2hrs or so it will still be fine..
I am going to book her only for MY bridal mehendi..
and for the bridal party since its happening in the evening i will get another mehendi lady who runs on time and what not since that time we actually have guests and the videographer.

Yeah, Pinky's Bride does great henna! she did my SIL's mehendi and it turned out great. lol. I'm getting her for my mehendi and makeup as well!

we had punita come over for the mehndi party for one of our veteran guppy.....she was absolutely amazing......I don't recall that she was late or anything.
