He certainly doesn't seem kind. He seems to enjoy playing His little games far too much.
Nonetheless...little room for excuses. Why blame God for our own self-abuse? Last I checked, God didn't threaten to do anything to us. On the one hand we want free will, but on the other we don't want any consequences because of it.
