Re: punishment for apostasy in Islam
Is the punishment for apostasy in any way connected to circumcision? i.e. since circumcision establishes a person's slavery to Allah it provides the justification for inflicting the death penalty? also because during the 3-day repentance period the apostate is encouraged to focus on his circumcision and how it establishes an irrevocable bond?
