Gillani has left for Multan, would be interesting to see what sort of reception he gets there. Shah Memood Qureshi’s brother has joined PPP, and it seems as if Bunny will defeat PTI’s candidate from NA 151 on July 19. PPP will give tough time to other parties in the coming election especially in Multan.
Addressing the media at Lahore Cantt station, Yousaf Raza Gilani said he never expressed to become political martyr.Gilani will be reaching Multan this evening. The PPP has made elaborate arrangements to give him rousing welcome.
He will arrive at Khanewal by train from Lahore‚ where he will be received by the workers and office bearers of PPP as well as people of his constituency.
Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the constitution is supreme but it is parliament which has created the constitution. To a question‚ former Prime Minister said that constitution was also present‚ when the judges were detained at their homes.He said PPP is the party which restored the constitution.
He said PPP has the roots in the federation and the next general elections results would not be different from the present one.

I dont think that this would tell us more about the Seraiki trends, more about the hold of Multan city as we need to acknowledge that Gillani has worked a lot in that city to cement his hold on the constituency. The funds that he had allocated for Seraiki areas more than 95 % were spent on Multan alone, therefore this election and trend in the Seraiki areas at large in the next elections would be interesting to watch.

^ I'll be happy with who ever the people decide to bring in after the next elections, even if its PPP. If the people are satisfied with their performance they should vote them in and enjoy another 5 years.

If one is a neutral bystander, one can easily assess that Gilani went down protecting his leige lord sitting in the presidency. It had nothing to do with the constitution or parliament. Chances are, Gilani's followers in his constituency will still vote for him, because that is how it works with these gaddi nasheens and pirs. No talent needed to get elected, just a gaddi.

Two PMs assassinated? I only know one PPP PM who was removed from PM slot, indicted then hanged but the other was assassinated not as PM but as someone who wanted more from NRO, more powers.
