RISALPUR: Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that the people of Punjab are with the IDPs and would provide all out help to them in their difficult time.
Talking to media men alongwith chief ministers of NWFP and Balochistan, the Punjab CM while criticizing terrorism said that the people have been rendered homeless because of some extremists, adding Pakistan and Islam are being maligned because of their activities.
He on the occasion announced that IDPs would be accommodated in colleges and schools of Punjab, saying he would himself the monitor the relief operation.
The chief minister Punjab on the occasion said that NWFP Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti s a competent person and will successfully deal with the issues. He also commended the services of people of NWFP to accommodate IDPs.
The chief minister Punjab handed over 150 trucks loaded with relief goods for IDPs.
CM NWFP Amir Haider Khan Hoti while talking on the occasion expressed his gratitude to Chief Ministers of Punjab and Balochistan, saying their arrival conveyed to the masses that people of Pakistan are united and one.
Responding to a question, he said that the Swat operation is underway with success and would take some time, adding the Pakistani army is fighting bravely as it is war of Pakistan’s survival.
CM Balochistan Nawab Akbar Raisani while talking to media men condemned terrorism in all its manifestations and urged to cerate awareness among people in this regard. CM Balochistan said that the people of Balochistan are ready to help IDPs. He also handed over a cheque of Rs. 60 million to NWFP Chief Minister for IDPs.
