Anybody have any experience with pumping in a plane. I might be flying to pakistan in march and exclusily pump. I found out the i can carry expressed milk with me, and also the pump. But just not sure abt pumping. The bigger issue is that i will alone with the little one

I have not pumped but I have nursed my baby in plane. I used a chaddar to cover myself.
If you get a bassineet for your baby when he/she is sleeping you can use a nursing pocho or chaddar to cover and pump.

You can use your pump on batteries..my only concern would be the noise it makes! Probably you can go back to the flight attendants area while your baby is asleep in the bassinet n pump there?

I personally couldn't be botherd with pumping, but I have breastfed my child on public transport discreetly. It's not as bad as u think it will be, Infact it's quick n easy. x

I've pumped on a plane, I breastfed but my son was having latching issues at the time so I was forced to pump. I used the manual option so that I didn't have to worry about the noise or wires. I took enough into to feed my son and only pumped so I wouldn't get engorged. I would not recommend relying on the pumping to feed you child. The milk I brought with me was frozen and they were more then willing to store it in the freezer for me....then just used hot water to thaw it out. I had a window seat so I just faced the window and pumped under a poncho.
how old is your child....my son was young enough to fit in the bassinet provided by the airline so I pumped when he was sleeping.

I haven't had experience with this, but for those concerned about the noise, I do think there's so much white noise on a plane, that the sound won't be too obvious. We were able to play our daughters videos on th iPad without disturbing other passengers cuz you could still barely hear anything, even at higher volumes.
