AAAARGGHH…I’ve pulled a muscle in my neck region and I can barely move my head, have to keep it in an upright position.
Have used so much deep heat already,if i use more I think my skin will tear!
Anybody know any other remedies ??
Shld I take any painkillers?
Note to self:Should stretch before shoulder pressing 140 lbs!
Cooldude, aap kee gardan mei CHOOK pe gai hae. thats what its called. ppl usually get this when they sleep in an unnatural angle or bend their neck in an unusual way or a sudden force is applied to the neck. some gentle massaging with warm olive oil or a balm [back in Pak there were these strong tiger chinese balms and iodex] might help. Also heating up some cloth with an iron and then putting it next to the neck will provide some comfort.
Basically though, just make sure you sleep on a soft, comfortable pillow without putting your neck in any stress and soon this will go away.
Miraculously,my pain was gone the next day!...Maybe all tht deep heat really did do the trick...:)

I just kept on applying deep heat after every 30 mins...did tht abt three times..and went to sleep..woke up the next morning...and voila!..pain was gone...
omg me too, I have a “chook” in my back its been screaming with pain at every move, I’ve tried to exercise it out but that didn’t do anything except make the pain mild…
ok...I think I injured myself again...
I feel a sharp pain in the back in the shoulder blade area whenever I twist my upper body or exert force backwards...the pain doesn't sem to go away and it's the 4th day now.
I'm a lil worried now..shld I consult a doctor?
Do some stretches .... roll your shoulders .... or while sitting on a chair, fold your body downwards so that your chest is touching your knees and your arms are against your legs and your head is also resting against your knees ... tuck your chin so that it looks like you have a double chin ... that should give you a nice stretch. While in this position, stretch only your shoulder blades ... roll your shoulders afterwards. See if that helps.
