I have a large number of ppl coming over , I want to try something different . Was thinking of making biryani masala with chicken but adding water and rice to it and cooking like pulao. Has anyone tried this before ? What were your results like. Pls share

i honestly wouldnt try out something strange like that for a dawat. do a test try first. and repot back

It’s not strange, I do it all the time and it turns out great. But don’t make it for the first time for guests though just in case you don’t like it.

I don’t think davat is the time to experiment with main dishes/desserts. appetizers/salads, maybe.

I have tried it many times and love the taste. Do a test try first and see how you like it.
I usually do something like this with less masala. Today I just wanna try adding the spices that give biryani its taste.
masala pulao i make too… but never tried biryani masala pulao.

I’ve made something similar to this before but I think classic pulao and classic biryani taste better.
Blah, biryani is biryani and pulao is pulao. The spices and aroma of the biryani never came through. It was a potluck and ppl did eat it, so glad about that. Shakal wise it looked like a pulao with tamatar .
Automne next time try Shan’s Pulao Biryani masala & Shan’s Bombay Biryani masala. Half packet each for three cups rice. I made Pulao once like this & it turned out yummy.
