Pudgy Brown Kids

Is obesity going up in the Pakistani community? I’m seeing more round gulab jamuns rolling around these days.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

It’s been like this for a while.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

What bullet???

The introduction of Burger King and the madness of Pakistani families over this like they’re breaking a fast in Ramadan is a little concerning…

People are gonna get so fat now in Karachi…

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

Punctuation.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

Take a look in the other window. You missed out on eclairs and mantecados.

Anyhow, the increase in childhood obesity is entirely ubiquitous.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

Punctuation was the last of worries.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

It’s technology. People are on their bums most of the time.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

A bullet requires solidity both literally and figuratively. In this case I figured only punctuation (.) can do the word ‘bullet’ some justice.

Actually i think its a lifestyle. People don’t do anything other than sleeping for long time and eating excessively.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

90% of the people in Karachi can’t even afford that junk. I’m pretty sure emaciation is still a bigger problem down there. Who cares if a few privileged kids are getting fat?

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

So you only thought of gulab jamuns, not Pizza Hut, McDonald, and yukky puky,… Kentucky Fried Chicken?

The so called elites, rich and WANNABE, are happy to eat these junk food as their breakfast, lunch or dinner “de jure” in Pakistan… like sheep and animals following their masters without thinking it is harming them.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

Some people just brutally kill the joke without even trying.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

Before anyone comes again for Dalda Ghee Samosay, I never said they are good for everyone.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

Yes they do, but when they do, they better bring something else to think about like I did.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

I don’t think this is a new problem but it is something to worry about since kids are so glued to iPads, iPhones, etc etc etc.

This isn’t specifically for Pakistani kids though…this is across the globe. Technology is making us lazy.

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

:omg:

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

Stop stealing my thoughts, when I finally became a parent and looked around me obesity and drugs seemed to be the biggest threats and I made it a mission that I will instill lifelong healthy habits in my kids, met huge road blocks from my honey in their athletic training, my daughter would especially butt heads with me but I never wavered in my resolve, now when I go to gatherings and my daughter sees these teenagers that have ballooned, she thanks me for caring enough to fight for their well being, childhood obesity is child abuse.

Pudgy Brown Kids

^ what kinds of things did you guys do? Why was there resistance from the honey?

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

i was/am a pudgy brown kid

sigh…once is sunday school this miss hotshot back then said to me “how about I buy you some butt reducing pills” :hinna: all i did was ask her for chocolate as a joke…

but you know what…that b!@#$ is a fat cow now and looks like a gulab jamun literally

Re: Pudgy Brown Kids

pakistanis have always been apathetic towards thier health. So much oil in our cooking that there would be no need to invade iraq. Mention anything gym related and they run a mile. its about changing the way pakistanis look at diet and exercise.
