Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

It is very disturbing news for the Pakistani-American community to know that the Government of Pakistan is planning to shut down PTV-Prime-USA and is replacing it with PTV-World. PTV-Prime-USA is considered the authentic National Flag Carrier of Pakistan in the United States and its services to the Pakistani-American community stand unmatched. Over the past almost five years PTV-Prime-USA has ably served as the window to our motherland Pakistan and brought Pakistan live in our living rooms 24 hours and 7 days a week. Pakistani-American community honored and appreciated the CEO of PTV-Prime Mr. Syed Shahid Zaheer across the nation for his dedicated mission for serving the vital interests of Pakistan and the Pakistani community in the United States through PTV-Prime.

We feel this decision to unplug the transmission PTV-Prime is wrong, unjust, and totally unfair. We also feel that before taking such a drastic decision, opinion polls should have been conducted from the Pakistani-American community and the decision should have been made according to the wishes and aspirations of the community. We are pretty confident that the community overwhelmingly supports PTV-Prime-USA and will never support any such move for talking PTV-Prime off the air.

Find below some synopsis as why we demand to keep PTV-Prime-USA;

PTV Prime is the first ever Pakistan Channel in USA, a pioneer and flag carrier in the arena of Pakistani satellite broadcasting in America.
PTV Prime has done extra ordinary work in bringing the community together and giving them hope and boosting their morale after the 9/11 tragedy.
PTV Prime has launched transmission in North America after September 11, 2001 and imparted a sense of pride & gave boost to being Pakistani & Pakistan＊s patriotism.
PTV Prime is bringing the Pakistani culture, art, music, and family values live from back home to the adopted home. This was a novel experience that our community never had before and the community responded with overwhelming enthusiasm and appreciation.
PTV- Prime brought five times Azaan in USA for the first time in our TV broadcast history and the Qura＊nic studies blessed many families by helping adults as well as children learn to read the Holy Book for the first time. PTV-Prime successfully relayed the feeling of being home though away from home.
PTV-Prime introduced educational programming about the making of Pakistan ; its history, culture, and about the sacrifices made for carving this great nation. Our young generation learned about the founding father and other heroes using this medium.
PTV-Prime worked very closely with the community and community leaders as a good will ambassador to cultivate good relations between Pakistan and the United States.
PTV-Prime helped in relief efforts during the Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina & Rita, and the Earth Quake in Pakistan. PTV-Prime sacrificed over a million Dollars worth of revenue by providing Pro-bono ads and airtime for Quake-Relief fundraising events organized by community organizations across North America.
PTV-Prime provides free air time on a regular basis for community welfare related announcements for events and celebrations.
PTV-Prime is always showing live special transmissions from Pakistan covering religious, cultural, political, and national events.
PTV-Prime acted as a bridge between the Pakistani-American community and their homeland Pakistan.
PTV-Prime is the only channel that broadcasts tilawat / Arabic recitation of Qura＊n with Urdu translation twice a day in USA.
Our community makes use of this facility & convenience of having a digital teacher in every home. This alone is indeed a great service.
PTV-Prime through its programming, provides strength, unity, cohesiveness, and cooperation among community members on national issues and issues dear to Pakistan＊s solidarity and progress.
PTV-Prime has played a pivotal role by providing full coverage of the Pakistani American Congress ( PAC ) annual summits on Capitol Hill for the past five years. This important summit serves great objectives of strengthening Pak-US friendship and empowering the Pakistani community on the political landscape of America .
The services of PTV-Prime are unmatched during the past five years and it courageously conveyed the message of patriotism and Pakistan first. PTV-world from Pakistan can never replace the status of PTV Prime because it will be perceived as ※His Master＊s Voice§ rather than a Pakistani community channel.

PTV-Prime is the community＊s number one choice because it understands the community＊s issues and it relates to the community.
Removing PTV-Prime will be breaking the bridge between our community & Pakistan and it will create a vacuum that will never be filled. The dedicated management of PTV-Prime undertook this endeavor to serve the community with passion and not just as a profiteering business venture. The noble intent of management must be given due credit.
PTV-Prime is a true family channel and it works closely with the Embassy of Pakistan and its consulate offices for building relations between the community & diplomatic missions.

Therefore, it is most humbly requested that the decision to replace PTV-Prime with PTV-World may be reviewed, keeping into account the points mentioned above. Before making such a drastic and uncalled for decision, opinion polls from the Pakistani-American community may be taken. If PTV-World is brought in the U.S. for the community, then the Pakistani-American community should have the right to choose and their consent should be given due consideration and value.

Because PTV Prime, which borrows its programming heavily from Indus TV, realizes that since Indus is coming, they'll have to basically show PTV World shows anyway.

I think personally that we should get all the PTV channels here.

Prime tv Unplugged named PTV Global

Hey guys this morning i was browsing through channels and they unplugged the prime tv broadcasting. I knew because they were showing a Tractor and plowing :) .anyways It might be a good thing since the rumors are that Indus is coming.
