Hasn’t anyone noticed that a couple of months back just over night that PTV Prime was changed to PTV Global! But it was worth the drama’s on PTV Global are better then the one’s on PTV Prime!

Yeah what happened was that PTV pakistan ripped off this guy in America... having him setup his own network, with his own dish, etc.. and just moral backing from the PTV heads... and when they see he is getting a profit out of this after 5 years, they deal behind his back w. dish, and take over the feed, using his dish and his network.... this is their petition letter
We the undersigned concerned Pakistani expatriates living in North-America express our deepest resentment and displeasure at the unplugging of popular community family Channel PTV-Prime by breach of a valid contract, under force and coercion. The news of PTV-Prime removal by Govt. of Pakistan received with shock and awe by our community members. It is further disturbing that PTV-Prime is replaced by PTV-Islamabad by breaking a legitimate 10 years contract. This is so ironic, that PTV-Islamabad could have another channel without taking over a private community family channel just as so many others have followed the foot print of PTV-Prime-USA & running their channels.
It is totally unjust, unfair, unlawful and unpatriotic to replace PTV-Prime with PTV-Islamabad / Global. Pakistani community in North America is saddened by this unjust and uncalled for action and breach of contract. There is certainly misrepresentation and victimization that will have negative bearing on the image and credibility of your administration. How Ex-Pat can repose their trust in this Govt. for foreign investment when there is a live example of a fellow Pakistani-American Mr. Syed Shahid Zaheer who invested over $10. Million to set up a private TV-Channel to serve Pakistan & community and he is deprived of not only his investment but also his dream. After losses of five year, he has just barely established this business with a substantial subscriber’s base and started making profit when the Govt. of Pakistan brutally ambushed his enterprise without notice.
As a matter of principle it not business of a government to be involved in media. Govt. should leave media independent in the province of private sector.
We appeal to the Prime Minister and also to the President of Pakistan to give a serious review to this very sensitive matter and order an independent inquiry to establish truth, fair play and justice. Whosoever has made this un-ethical decision is certainly a component of conspiracy against the current regime intended to malign and discredit. It would have been much prudent and fair on the part of the Govt. of Pakistan to have conducted opinion polls from the community before taking the decision of removing PTV-Prime-USA. If their new Channel PTV-Islamabad is meant to serve the community, why community has not been taken into confidence before inflicting such a drastic action against PTV-Prime?
We genuinely feel that PTV-prime-USA has done an exceptional service to Pakistan, its people and Pakistani community in North America. It has promoted the good will of the Govt. and presented their point of view to the community without any bias. Pakistani community feels quite strongly about PTV-Prime-USA as their only family channel and urges to be restored honorably as soon as possible
