i heard that PTV-1 and channel 3 have been launched on digital recievers ..so has anyone heard about it ??

Yes it's true. PTV World can be viewed at the following frequency:
Satellite: Hotbird at 13° East
Frequency: 12,211
SR: 6161 - 3/4
Polarization: Horizontal
But the quality is quite poor as yet.

Oh, then I guess you're somewhere in the Middle East. I'm afraid I won't be able to help you there, as the satellites used for that region are different to the ones here.

It will work in Europe (mainland). However it's quite possible that it does show up in the UK as well.

PPL as Umer already told it's via Hotbird at 13°East ..... UK shall possible with 80 - 90 cm dish (2 1/2 - 3 foot dish) .... USA definitly no because it's behind Horizen ..... but u can try when the solar winds are at their peak but i think this is in case of analogue transmission since digital mode of encoding asks for a stable signla which is surely not the case with solar winds ....... for more on Solar winds search the:
As far as i know PTV-World is open on the above mentioned Frequency between 5p.m. - 7p.m. GMT/UTC ..... its sharing transponder with a Vietnamese channel (or Thai i think) .....
For Middle east it should also possible to receive but with a very large dish around 12 foot or more

Try the Thaicom 2/3 on 78.5° East since it's carrying PTV but i don't which one ..... U r middle east so itmust be possible for you with a 6 - 8 foot dish .... look here

PTV World on Hotbird 3 has disappeared.
PTV will be launching a bouquet of 7 channels at end of this year on ASIASAT 3S or on it own satellite PAKSAT-1 @ 38 degree east. Which will include channels for News, Music, Sports, Kashmir, etc.
