Cop who threw woman in police van suspended
LAHORE: Capital city police officer (CCPO) Additional Inspector General (IG) Malik Muhammad Iqbal has suspended a policeman who was shown in various newspapers as bundling a female protestor into a police van during a demonstration on Thursday.
The CCPO had asked Model Town Superintendent of Police (SP) Imran Ahmar to identify the policeman who had manhandled the woman. The cop was identified as Aqif Waseem of Garden Town police station. The CCPO has told all divisional SPs to send only policewomen to handle women protestors. staff report

yea i was there, three of them were his sisters, there were other relatives as well icluding an 80 year old woman who was picked up. The party was really cooperative, all of them including his sisters remained outside the police station even after their release, till all the other were released late at nite. The guys were brutally beaten up at the police station. Cheif Minister Punjab was persoonally overseeing the matter.
