No it is not muqawee brother. But its a big reason amongst many. PTI has been trying to develop a new political culture. Its going to be a long haul because of our inherent corrupt culture & values but at least its trying and if educated people like you do not exercise their right to vote then we may never see an improvement in our fortunes.
What I would request you is to exercise your vote. Just do not sit at home :) If no one thought about your city then it does not mean no one ever will :)

What are the problems specific to Karachi?
Lack of education and health is country-wide. Not bringing adequate solutions to the problems is incompetency. x Actively being a major part of the problem (lack of law and order) is another.

Why does it have to be about 'our city' all the time? Why is it so hard to find someone from Karachi/Sindh who speaks for Pakistan, rather than for 'hamari Karachi', or maaro sindh?
Mustafa Kamal was verbally spanked by a college girl with a question on this exact point a while ago, when he was being about how Karachi earns 70% of Pakistan's revenue, and that how 'we earn, and hence people in Punjab/Baluchistan/KPK eat'. He doesnt realize that Karachi earns 70% because of the rest of Pakistan, and if you split Karachi from Pakistan, and its revenue generation will drop to a fraction of what it is now.
This vote is for Pakistan, not for any city. If you dont wish to vote for a certain party, that is your choice, but no reason to play the city card.

PTI was trying to create new culture, but I'm sorry to say I don't see much difference now amongst PTI and other parties. Again feeling very sorry, when I hear Imran Khan using same language and techniques against other parties. Calling someone Noonie / Nooras, Shobaaz Sharif and uttering dialogues like 'ooper Allah, neeche Balla', ' pehli gaind pe wicket loonga', may attract many, but I find it a bit immature and at par with the rival parties of PTI.

Excuse me! why and when raising concern about ones city become playing card. did I say that Karachi feed all the country? one may not deny importance of Karachi in Pakistan's economy, but my belief is koi kisi ko nahin khilata. insaan Abdul Razzaq hota hai, Razzaq nahin.

That quote was attributed to Mustafa Kamal, in case you missed it. However, the fact remains that this argument has come out of a lot Karachi (MQM) politicians. In any case, these are national elections. One can ask specific questions about their city from their provincial govts, and hopefully, if local bodies are voted in within the next few months, then from them directly.

and you think people vote for those who avoid talking of their problems. why Imran Khan is silent on recent blasts in Karachi? Has he condemned the TTP who took responsibility of such blasts?
Re: PTI versus PMLN
^ Has any other party condemn the blasts?
Criticism for sake of criticism.
Imran hasn't avoided the problem. In fact he's the only politician who has a clearly well defined and documented polices to combat terrorism, whether you agree or disagree with those polices is a different matter. For people who weren't born yesterday, Imran has been proposing a solution for terrorism since last 8-9 years. So how can once avoid him for 'avoiding' the since pioneered the concept of finding solution as oppose to just shouting empty rhetoric of condemnation?
Whats MQM's solution for terrorism except crying that Talibans are bad guys?
Whats PMLN's solution for terrorism except crying that Talibans are bad?
Whats PPP's solution for anything?
Re: PTI versus PMLN
be the change you want to be. own the people first you want to bring change for them. Because Karachi and Sindh aren’t PTI’s strongholds, it doesn’t mean that they keep silence on their issues. Condemnation doesn’t do a lot, but atleast people do think that someone is concerned for them.
If other parties are not condemning (which they did), does that make ground for PTI not to condemn such things. but wait, overall politics of the country revolves around this ugly concept. xyz party didn’t do that so why should I. abc party did so, I get right to do the same. ![]()

What do you think PTI should do about Karachi issue?
