LAHORE: The Election Tribunal Lahore on Tuesday approved a petition against Federal Minister Pakistan Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique for alleged rigging in the May 11 general elections, Geo News reported.
The petition was submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Hamid Khan against the Minister Pakistan Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique for his alleged role in the rigging.
The judge of the Election Tribunal of Lahore accepted the application for hearing today.
The petitioner has alleged that Saad Rafique had deployed the workers of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) at the polling stations and later manipulated the election results with the help of returning officers.
PTI candidate Hamid Khan has demanded the tribunal to declare Saad Rafique ineligible on the basis of strong evidences against him.
Following the approval of the petition, the Election Tribunal has summoned all the candidates of the constituency on August 28.

how threat dissolving KP govt can trigger this? even if KP govt is dissolved it doesn't pose any threat to federal govt or state
and by the way, leaders do not threaten to quit, and that in the very beginning, leaders pledge to fight till end

Another stupidity and immaturity shown by IK. What powers IK has to dissolve KP govt? Isn't Governor on the advise of CM can do this? Governor is rep of PM or Fed government, if he wants not do this, how in the hell IK will dissolve the provincial government? Any way dissolving KP government will bring nirale and their PTI back to square one, 15 years back with 'no name' political party.
