I mean the moment MQM terrorists arrived on the scenes, all PTI workers disappeared! They simply don’t have the capacity to face MQM’s armed thugs.

No surprise. MQM shooting itself in the foot again. These threats and intimidation will dent their support and voter base in the city since they are already on the defensive after the massive revelations of Saulat Mirza video and they gotta realize its no more of the same politics of the previous decade now that the media has blossomed and can pretty much expose the thuggery or corruption of any political party regardless of their affiliation. They also gotta realize that they have to work with their political opponents no matter how bitter the sentiments to bring peace in the city again.
I support the operations in Karachi not because I’m in favor of a particular party but I believe the army and gov’t is taking the right steps to eliminate the criminals, target killers, and militants who have wrecked havoc on the city for the past 3 decades and its about time they are prosecuted and brought to justice for killing of so many innocents.

I want to ask MQM supporters/sympathisers a simple question. You lot say that MQM supposedly emerged as a reaction to the whole ‘sons of soil’ bigotry, intolerance, extreme territorial possessiveness and all round bullying. Now the way MQM thugs treat Karachi as their *baap ki jageer *and a urine marked territory, I ask what makes these so called ‘educated’ and non-feudal party any better than feudals their supporters claim to hate? In the age of lightening quick electronic media obsessed with live coverages, the whole of Pakistan is watching how these two penny goons and dirty muggers have held Karachi hostage yet they have the gall to spit so much venom against other ethnicities and act like bloody victims. These trigger happy goons make Pakistan’s largest cosmopolitan city look like a total no go area.
I fully agree with Imran, how about MQM come to Lahore, Mianwali, Peshawar, Pindi, Multan with their party flags, and let’s see who stops them from doing their election campaign. No one will. Yet why Pakistanis are not allowed to exercise their democratic right and freedom in ‘MQM held’ areas? Who are the oppressors and racists here?
PTI has already achieved its main objective without even winning the elections. They wanted to make a point that they can challenge MQM in their own backyard - something not many political parties dare considering - and the way MQM is panicking and showing frustration is perfectly proving that point. Even though JI is also contesting from NA-246 which has long history in Karachi, but MQM’s wrath is only focused on PTI.
This is baptism of fire for PTI - they decided to take on a violent extremist terror spreading outfit without any previous history in Karachi, without any militant wing, without any political alliance either with the federal government or provincial government.
May Allah keep all PTI workers, leaders and supporters and all innocent people of Karachi safe from MQM.

Didn’t they kill some female mqm MNA in Lahore last year? I remember JI goons beating up mqm after 2005 earthquake in Kashmir back when their image was getting better
