In the same vain, we can say status quo supporters live in their own bubble – a bubble of negativity, bitterness and misinformation created by Jung Group. They all read Jung Group and quick to jump any bandwagon that remotely criticises PTI. These people have turned language of systematic slander as the new face of stoicism. People knowingly post blatantly obvious click bait ‘articles’ despite knowing very well that particular news group is running an open and unprecedented level of smear campaign against one single party because of a very public spat. Of course Geo and Jung Group are hell bent on demonising not just PTI even the group of people remotely associated with PTI. How can anyone who knows the basic ABC of journalism present Jang Group propaganda as ‘fair analysis’. This is nothing but opportunistic bandwagon jumping. That’s like quoting Rupert Murchod’s tabloids to declare Ed Miliband as the next Hitler. Not that I expect the OP to stop posting click bait propaganda editorials, but it’s important that other members and silent readers learn to differentiate between journalism and churnalism. It's okay if you don't like someone, but that doesn't mean you start
I seriously pity the country where the most educated and self-made class and the youth are painted as fascists, anarchists, mob and terrorists for standing behind a perfectly legitimate cause. What kind of future you think such country will where bunch of frustrated critics have effectively demonised an entire generation – a generation which in any respectable country is deemed as the ultimate future of the country. What hints and hues of civilisation you see coming from a country where the most educated class is degraded, dismissed and ridiculed because after the very very long time and many pleas, these people finally decided to take an active interest in country’s politics. In the eyes of status quo supporters, these people’s biggest crime is that they have effectively managed to create a mosh pit of political passion despite severe bashing and venomous propaganda Jung group writers and handful of arm chair cynics. The extraordinary turnout, and according to some reports, the record breaking gathering in Karachi yesterday, plus the most amazing fact that Imran has managed to sustain this movement for 40 days, sends out powerful message that people have rejected media cabals ‘arguments’.
It is sadly so astonishing to see how this bunch of ignorant and arrogant political analysts have made zero, absolutely zero attempts to talk about people’s issues, engage with them, acknowledge the simmering anger and frustration (but somehow these people still have hope!). Frome such pathetic click bait articles, you get nothing but the same old, same old, same old side brownnosing diatribe to save the status quo. Fortunately, the group of people you call the most educated are not ‘dumb’ and they cannot be easily fooled. These politicians and their brownnosing media men wanted the youth to believe in the supremacy of the Parliament. Fine, the witnessed the joint Parliament session (probably for the first time in their lives!) where each and every sitting was attended by the Prime Minister who previously only attended the parliament sessions only once or twice in last 14 months. Now tell the youth, what was the result of that historic Parliamentary session? How many so called fairly elected, country and demkursi loving politicians talked about their issues? Name me one session where they talked about people’s issue and proposed a solution. Come on. There was literally no opposition to the government in that house. These sold out writers can find all sorts of lame excuses to attack country’s most liberated group, divert their attention, make up as many dishonest defence to save the status quo, but when asked these questions, they have no answers! Sadly for them, these people have woken up! They stand vindicated. The more anyone will try to push them against the wall, the more they will try to rise up. And they have already proven that! 40[SUP]th[/SUP] day of sit in and jalsa in Karachi is the biggest example of this all these failed counterproductive tactics.
But I find really funny is how that these people brand their own youth as anarchists and fascists mob out of sheer political vindictiveness, but at the same time, you have the nerve to demand respect from them? Yes, all Jung group writers have churned articles after articles terming the movement as anarchy and participants as fascist mobs. I can guarantee that your average young PTI jalsa attendee has neither studied nor seen anarchy, they probably don’t even know that word actually means in a properly placed context. Yet these shameless journalists and their avid readers don’t even feel an ounce of responsibility when they stomp such nasty, extremist titles on their young people’s head, and subliminally provoke them to feel and act like one. Ironically, these are the same hypocrites when Taliban and extremist Mullah used to throw around the word ‘kafir’ or ‘blasphemy’ whenever they felt challenged by an opposition view.
Good on young and educated people of Pakistan for ignoring such brownnosing tripe. No one is obliged to pay a heed to anyone who is not even willing to accept that you have genuine problems that require immediate solutions by those they waste their precious ink to protect at any cost.
I’m genuinely getting sick and tired of disproportionate bashing. Who cares about writing a single coherent sentence about Nawaz League or PPP, but let’s lose one’s head over PTI. Why not? Imran sparked a conversation in the country. He has made Pakistan a country who is in conversation with itself and about itself. He has infused a certain pace, enthusiasm, adventure and intellectual vigour in Pakistan’s otherwise stale and mundane politics. Pakistan is witnessing a most brilliant and absolutely fascinating demonstration of political engagement that transcends regionalism, race, faith, gender, age and class divides. And I can tell you would never find status quo supporter appreciating political discourse, but these parties thrive on public disengagement. They consciously employ tactics to prevent public from speaking up. As someone who belongs to the school of thought that passionately encourages political engagement, and I believe in its power to make a difference or being a change, if you like, I feel so happy to be witnessing all this. I don’t give two hoots about anyone’s self pleasing political antagonism. My political passion may royally piss you off, but your political apathy cannot make me give a monkey’s.
PTI is dominating Pakistan’s politics, what else can you possibly do if not praise or wail about them? But then again, as they say, dissent empowers movements.
**For your kind information, being a total stranger I contact with many of the PML-N Senators , Federal Cabinet Ministers and MNAs on a regular basis and get an immediate reply or response on my cell.
Just a week ago got a telephone call from Speaker NA Ayyaz Sadiq , stating it just as an example. There are many more !**
