being a karachiite for a year now, i have witnessed the broadband wars every sunday in the sunday papers. with the launch of wateen’s wimax, and the Phone N’ Net deal frm ptcl, major ISP’s have been struggling hard to recapture the mrkt. however, mobilink’s sister company linkdotdsl has tried to beat the wateen, max, cybernet, ptcl, et. al deals altogether by providing their starting package at 1200/= for 256kbps. seeing the oppurtunity, PTCL launched the entertainment DSL package for just 1999/= for a 512kbps! and that too with no cap!! the deal is TOO GOOD, however, with the hassles ive been through to just get a phone line and the bad reception i get with it, I as well as other PTCL customers are hesitant to even think about getting a new dsl connection from them. how many so far have ptcl broadband and if u do have a connection, is the quality satisfactory??
