Who are they, the members of his family?

…(The third occasion is this) when the (following) verse was revealed:" Let us summon our children and your children." Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) called 'Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husain and said: O Allah, they are my family.
So while you seem to think he never considered the ahlul bait as one of the weighty things, it is obvious he did. this does not mean that he never mentioned quran and sunna together either, they’re **not mutually exclusive.
