i really want to buy one, i like how it looks and the fact that i can spend my 2 hour a day commute immersed in fighting aliens instead of having to look at how hollow and empty my life is, whether my bald spot will start shrinking now, how my neighbour gave me the stink eye STUPID INDIANS GODDAMN I HATE THEM SO MUCH.
so then I wanna buy a psp, but Im being hesitant cause it costs 170 pounds which is a lot for a beichara ghareeb admi like me (ghurbat also a subject of my thoughts on the tube).
Any owners around? Is it worth it? Can you play games AND listen to music at the same time (cause that would end the debate as far as im concerned)
although I don’t own one myself, I have regularly played on a PSP (lending from a friend :D).
Depending on the games you play, a PSP can be worthwhile or just totally crap. I for example, play Tekken DR on the PSP, but for this game it is really unhandy since it is a game based on reaction time and quickness, and the PSP controller just isn’t flexible enough for that. So Ive stopped playing on the PSP. However, if you are planning to play shooting, strategy games then it can really good :k: Just don’t try to play very fast games on it.
i like fighting/strategy/sports/racing games so I figure I have a wide spread to choose from. On the computer Im mainly an fps person but I dont expect FPS on a console would be fun.
do you know if you can play mp3s while playing a game? hows the hardware, fast? can you just put avi files on it and it will play em?
don't know about mp3's yaar. I know there are a lot of slots to expand the PSP. I've only used it as training for Tekken DR, while waiting my turn on the PS2/PS3 :D
For video you have to transcode the avi files to fit the PSP. The games are good on there, not sure of the MP3 part whethere you can listen to music while playing games, but i know they play :)
I've tried reviews but they're mostly "yay i can play music", "wow how shiny" (it is quite shiny) but never on this specific topic. I guess playing music while playing games would be an idea people would have once they've used a system for a bit and reviewers usually write reviews after a day or so. I dunno.
tofi, by transcode do you mean make it into something like divx or xvid? I would've thought it to be the other way round, I didnt think the media player on a psp would be able to decode codecs. If so...cool!
