PSP (PlayStation Portable)

Hey guys, I got myself a PSP (PlayStation Portable) and 1 GigaByte Memory Stick last September. I absolutely love it! You can use it to listen to music, watch videos, play a variety of old and new games and even browse the internet and get rss feed for location free player. On top of all that, you can install software on it that allows even more stuff ranging from IR remote for your TV to Ebook Readers and Flash player. This thing has so much potential it could be your pocket-size laptop!

If any of you guys have it or want to share views on it, I’d love to hear about it!

Re: PSP (PlayStation Portable)

i don have it but probably buy one soon!! i wanted2 buy it but i bought xbox 360...my friend has it n he is always busy wid it :)

Re: PSP (PlayStation Portable)

Buy it first chance you get mate. If you got another person with a PSP around you can play wireless multiplayer which is one of the most engaging and etertaining things when you're not at home playing PS2, I can tell from my experience.

Good Multiplayer Games:

1) Virtua Tennis
2) Burnout Legends
3) Fifa 2006
4) Crash Tag Team Racing
5) Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006

Re: PSP (PlayStation Portable)

wow!! playing wirelessly is kool...so how do u connect with other psp? bluetooth??

Re: PSP (PlayStation Portable)

Some wifi tech called Adhoc. You just turn on this switch called the wifi switch and then create a game. Other PSP users can search for created games in their area and join. You set a nickname for each PSP in the mainmenu settings and thats how you're recognized in multiplayer. Its the bomb man. The range is like upto a 100 meters sometimes. The speed is tops and I didnt get any bugs yet. Its wireless real time multiplayer at its best, supporting upto four players. Playing doubles (2 on 2) in tennis is the freaking best thing in the world. Or racing in burnout, or fatal fourway in smackdown... I never get tired of it! Its the PSP's top selling point. :D

Later versions of the PSP software allow transfer of files through wifi like save games, pictures or music. Dont know about Video but even without it the PSP rocks!!! :D

Re: PSP (PlayStation Portable)

greaaaat!!! 100 meters is something man!! it must be a powerfull adapter!!

i guess u've made me to think about it!! :)

Re: PSP (PlayStation Portable)

Let me tell you that 100 meters is the rounded up upper limit not the norm. Id say on average, signal dissappears after about 50-70 meters, sometimes going up to 90. The specs state, 50 - 120 meters if I remember correctly. Same applies to access-point range for internet browsing through PSP. You could actually visit GS from your PSP and post here! That'd be an acheivement!!! I've never done it cause there are almost no access points in my city here in the east. Im sure a PSP would be better suited to the westren countries. :D

Re: PSP (PlayStation Portable)

even 50 is exceptional man!!

Re: PSP (PlayStation Portable)

The whole thing is so awesome. Im gonna buy a linksys access point soon. That way Ill create a wifi network between my PC and PSP. That way, I’ll get net-access around my house and Ill be able to transfer files wirelessly. NO MORE USB!!! :alhamd:

Re: PSP (PlayStation Portable)

i am having watching videos on my PSP. i am saving the files in the right folder but they dont show up in the videos section on PSP. The files are also saved as mp4. So i dont know why the hell my psp wont play the damn files!
