I think comment of moron commentator (what you may have heard) is comment from ignorance. He should say that:
'Karachi, the nursery of Pakistan Cricket, has lost to ethnic politics of Pakistan, especially Punjab ... rather Lahore'. :)
Even Hanif Mohammed, with tears said that today, Pakistani cricket has no merit, as likes/dislikes overshadows team selection
(Obviously, Hanif Mohammed did not mentioned biases, ethnicity, provincialism, and nepotism, but camouflaged that part in words and phrases: 'likes and dislikes').
That's why I support emergence of new region/city as a new sporting giant in Pakistan. The whole Karachi versus Lahore rivalry is getting so boring and lame. So many chips on shoulders.
It was nice to see Peshawar team winning the last two domestic T20 cups, and I hope Zalmis also put an impressive show. It'll do wonders to revive sports in KPK.

Aap bura maan gayea, when I mentioned the reason why Pakistan cricket has become joke of the cricket world, just like Pakistani democracy of corruption has become joke. :)
Most funny thing is that, when one talks about discrimination in Pakistan, people start accusing of ethnicity ... and when start talking about corruption in Pakistan, people start accusing of anti-democracy.
Anyhow, Shoiab Malik captaincy was good, much better than Azhar, and obviously, Karachi Kings has better players than Lahore Qalandars. Result was predictable.
