Re: PSL 2017 Final: Quetta Gladiators vs Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore, Sunday 5th March
The scoreboard in this final is reflective of the most grave and scary problem for Pakistan. i.e. BAD batting lineups. No batsmen are able to stay on wicket, hit or rotate around. In international matches, no team can ever win with this situation. And this is just T-20 with very few overs. Ofcourse the magnitude goes multiple times in 50 over game or tests.

This!
We have seen it in Dubai as well…Anwar Ali and Other Pakistani player was not able to score 5/6 runs in last overs…with pressure they forget to bat and use their brain…

Do not completely disagree but scores tend to be lower in the finals incl. IPL. Remember this is a pressure game. so this was expected
This PSL hasn’t really unearthed any new batting talent for Pak… if anything we might see Kamran Akmal making another come back in the shortest format!

Tonight it was not only a match between Peshawar and Quetta it was between Pakistan and Indian sponsored terrorists and pakistan won. Hats off to the administration, police and the armed forces for providing such security.

One cannot help feeling that it was an unfair match. Quetta Gladiators were seriously imbalanced by the absence of KP and Rossouw. They also missed Luke Wright and Tymal Mills (although Emrit compensated well for him today). The players who took them to the final were not there.
Even so QG made a poor fist of the run chase. It was not a 90 pitch!

I think one of the best thing that happened in final in Daren Sammy, a foreign player, lifting the cup. Its highlighted everywhere and all those who were referring the final as a “local match” are probably now trying to find room to hide.
It also made PSL a successful event by miles even after it started with controversy of Sharjeel spot fixing. Take a bow, PSL management!
