So what you suggest? kill him? If you don’t like his views then don’t read him. But please refrain from labeling intellectuals like clowns, this is one of the reason we Muslims are deep sink hole !

What does this mean exactly just to see what is fascinating you? Does he mean people who want the progress of science and technology by phrase ‘other classes may be encouraged to retard progress’? If so then its obvious this guy is a religious fundamentalist and has agenda to throw mud over anyone who is working for the progress of science and technology.

Dr.Hoodbhoy is basically a Nuclear Sceintist and Doctrate of MIT .His views sometimes cross the boundaries of ‘moderation’ and enter the valley of ‘secularism’. So we should take him as a scientist not as a religious scholar neither his religious ruling/thinking is taken as serious
Although Sabieh Anwar considers himself a student of Dr.Hoodbhoy ,invited him to his society ,recently on 29 January he was giving lecture of 10 dimensions in this universe alongwith 3 and time as a 4th one at Punjab University .He also workerd with him at National Center of Physics at Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad but still he strongly criticized his book Islam and Science: Religious Orthodoxy and Battle for Rationality here

i dont doubt his credentials as a scientist but why is he trying to a authority on issues that he has no clue on e.g islamic history and shariah
the reason is simple ...he is a ismaili and they are non-muslims
he is afraid of puritin islam as this will mean that people like him will be at the bottom of the barrel

but his book reviews show how shallow his approach is towards these things
