Provincial right over power produced

@Ali_Syed

As far as water is concerned I don’t agree with you.

In Punjab we waste a lot of water. There are a lot of areas in Punjab which have sufficient under ground water but they are still irrigated by canals because it’s cheaper. Growers in Punjab use flooding system to irrigate their lands. Flood irrigation should be totally banned.. areas with under ground water should not be provided river water.

In a totally nationalistic approach.. we should make water storages and provide all the additional water to uncultivated areas of Southern Punjab, Sind, and Baluchistan. Believe me if we start drip irrigation all over the country, we have sufficient water to irrigate whole of Southern Punjab, Sindh, and Baluchistan. Furthermore if water wastage is stopped in Punjab, and all the additional water is given to Baluchistan and Sindh.. they will never oppose dams.

We need a totally nationalistic approach for common benefit. This regionalism/provincialism will not take us anywhere. Decisions must be taken on national basis which can benefit the whole country instead of pulling each other’s legs.
