All he wants is foreign firms to drain Pakistan's wealth. Why did he not have the honour to think about Pakistani companies doing the same. A very silly example he gave. How is he going to be a proud Pakistani while sitting on an Italian car and wearing Western clothes?? I wonder what kind of pride would the great nations like Japanese , Koreans, etc. have while using their own stuff. Thats what I would call a proud citizen. Besides, there is more to like than just these materitic things; honour, respect, values, traditions and most importantly Allahs's happiness.

surely he used a wrong example. i think all he wanted to say that an ordinary should be able to afford expensive labels like gucci.
i dont agree with you sitting in italian car will not make proud? we are failed to produce a single pakistani car. most of the counteries who make cars has developed this technology 100 years back. some bought technology and labeled with their own.
its not a taboo to use other counteries products. while they can use ours, we can excell in our best products. ie, sports goods, garments. etc.
hig influx of international companies may look like it will suck our economy but at the same time it may create competition with locals. in return they will improve. and create more jobs in process.
live example look at fried chicken shop outstripping the sale of KFC in Pakistan by offering same standard food at lower prices. it coulndnt have happpened if KFC or other didnt come to Pakistan.
i agree to point we dont need to leave our relegion to develop ourselves.
at the same time. we dont need to bring relegion in every case. because our relegion simply doesnt say not to prosper or go ahead in the world.
no one, no one, not even musharraf stoping anyone from practising Islam in Pakistan.
with developing economy we will not loose our relelgion, by educating more kids we will not loose our faith. we getting more investment from abraod no one will ask to leave Islam.
Pakistan can and will go forward without leaving its values, its culture, its relegion.
stop branding someone kafir or anything. listen to what he said good about it. though he is not right about leaving kashmir and other things.

gracious lord ... atleast someone said it !! *sigh
I hate Pervez Musharaff. And I am being "made' to attend a student's convention on Friday, where he's going to talk a lot of his old BS! And I can bet all of us students are expected only to praise and applaud his bloody, 'illegal' government!!
It's so easy to give up on Kashmiris, as long as you are getting good money for it.Right?
its jungle out there my friend. You have to go with the time. Musharaff without doubt is the best thing that has happened to Pakistan in over 20 years. He had eveything against him , he turned dilemmas into God given opportunities. I respect that man. There hasnt been a civilian government that gave a crap about Kashmir. He is a patriot and a true visionary. Support him dont be shyte head.
Gamay, what makes Mushy a gift from Allah :swt:? Once he is dead like Zia dude, no one will remember him. They all come and go, while leave the country in deeper mess than before they came. Do you know why Lincoln, Taft, Joey Battafuco, Kennedy, and Reagan are still remembered in the United States? Because they left some accomplishments behind. Can you say the same for any of the Paki leaders?
