In Pakistan, I am trying to think and could be wrong, but majority of name changes that happened, happened of the names that were named after Britishers. Drigh Colny, City of Montgomery, Lyal pur and such are renamed. But Gru Mandar, Gandhi Garden and such remained.

Mcleod Road becomes Chundrigar Road, but Rikshaw/ Taxi walas still call it with old name. Patel PaRa is still intact. Raam Swami not changed. Shaanti nagar is still there
