Mr Jinah grabbed what could be available at that time. As Bapsi Sidhwa portrayed her novel ‘Ice-Candy man’, general public didn’t know which country they would belong till 11th hour. Some were of the view that they would mark separate countries by digging a trench between two countries. There was infact no trench, but partition did created distances which are still there as it is.
