Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

I guess the Indian Sikhs, Pakistani Baloch, Sindhi and Pashtuns have something in common.

Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan’s “Independence Day”

Washington DC: On the occasion of the 58th birth anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Human Rights activists will be gathering together in front of the Pakistan Embassy located at 2315 Massachusetts Avenue NW Washington DC 20008 from 11-12:30 pm, to register their protest against human rights violations in Pakistan.

Representatives of the Baloch communities will join hands with members of the Sindhi community, under the aegis of the World Sindhi Institute, supported by the Torture Abolition and Support Survivors Coalition (TASSC), to expose specific instances of Human Rights Violations taking place in Pakistan today.

Quasi military rule in Pakistan has made a mockery of democracy and the principles of federation. Suppression of Pashtun , Baloch and Sindhi nations aspirations to control their own political destiny and their own natural resources has resulted in a distorted, corrupt and oppressive political climate , within which a military-mullah nexus is reigning supreme, while plundering the country and silencing all opposition through forced exile, incarceration and torture. Women’s rights and children’s rights are trampled upon with impunity. Joblessness has reached unprecedented heights while retired military personnel are employed in every sector of the country’s civilian bureaucracy, public sector industry and have become owners of prime real estate and agricultural holdings in every city and province of the country. The following speakers will highlight the reasons why august 14th is not a day of celebration but a day of mourning for the oppressed nationalities of Pakistan.

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan’s “Independence Day”

What is this suppose to mean reguarding this thread?

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

CM

As usual your retard remarks are full of ****. What's wrong with this protest? People are oppressed and humiliated in Pakistan particularly minorities. If some one protest against injustices in Pakistan does it create a pain in your ass?

FARID

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

Most of you live overseas, study, work and perhaps socialise with Indians.

I just love the sight of salwar kameez or sari - becuse I know they are of my vatan. The Urdu/Hindi/Punjbi language too makes me look up to see who spoke that-perhaps someone from my country.

A sense of nostelgic belonging. Then why so much hate for Hindus?!!

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan’s “Independence Day”

haha. Let them go and protest, the Pakistan Embassy shifted to a new location a while ago

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan’s “Independence Day”

LOL…

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan’s “Independence Day”

Everything aside, I have one confusion. No where in the links given below, I was able to find the pasted text in post # 1. so where did he get that text from? The links have a different story. As per the links, they are protesting against Hisbah bill. For that it dont have to be a specific community. I dont think any of us is happy about that bill. Ofcourse we do not want our NWFP people to suffer from that kind of goverment. Even we would have protested against that bill. So, why is the initiator of this thread confusing people into believing that all the Pakistani people (bloch, sindhi, pathans) are unhappy with Pakistan? This is a highly misleading post. People please try clicking on the links. His post text is no where in the links. So I need to know where this text (post # 1) was filtered from. From MS Word on his PC?

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

Any Pakistani protesting against the state should be removed. And there families in Pakistan forced to prove there loyalty, esle all lands and property confiscated and distributed to the charities who work for the nations poor.

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

:D
I just watched an Indian channel where they showed footage of the "demonstrations" this guy was trumpeting. There was all of 4 people there with pre-made signs.
I think it was probably the guy who started this thread and the rest of his family. What a joke, funny someone would have so much hatred in his heart to search the net looking for something like this which in the big scheme of things is completely irrelevant... Someone needs to get a life.

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

^ hahaha that was funy

Also, thanks to the Indian news team for covering this massive event

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

Yeah, if the Indians did'nt bother showing up I might have been mislead into thinking it was a legit protest. :D

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

These people protest again the abuse of human rights in Pakistan and we have people hear calling them traitors, asking for their removal, and even death ahhh quite a mindset we've got going on.

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan’s “Independence Day”

4 ppl demonstrating is lot of people

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

I think Logo has too much to spread against pakistan........................Bye Bye Logo....
No hate philosophy here!

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

So who were these four ppl? lastofthedinos, logo, chel-choosni, and the 4th?

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

underthedome - this protest was not "against the abuse of human rights" or the young generation of Pakistan would whole heartedly support that. it is about the hatred of these people. they are the traitors. if you do not like something at home, you try to fix it, try to discuss it.. with those in authority. did these 4 protestors indian channels tried to cover, try to have a dialogue with pakistan goverment if they really so much want to help their people, did they?

try to segregate break their own land apart further into pieces, a land which gives them their identity and without which their own brother would be nowhere, just because they hate it? just for your information, anyone would call them a traitor cz they are. they are not working to improve the conditions at home but all they doing is start trouble. these are the same people who can easily be manipulated by those who want to break pakistan. these people are if not traitors then are stupid enough to destroy everything rather than to make.

and are ou sure you are keen to see the improvement at a larger level about the abuse of human rights in Pakistan? or are you only interested to see these people causing a trouble?

when you want to sort things out, it must be discussed, decently and with a hope and trust and above all, a strong belief that you are constructive. but when your intentions are destructive, no one will care about you or what you want. neither the government nor the loyal people who want to make their country not break

Re: Protest in Washington D.C. on Pakistan's "Independence Day"

^ wow, welcome to PA TWB! I like you already!
