Protein intake and fat gain?

I just went to this buffet..and i mostly ate stuff thats got more protein in it… grilled chicken, lemon chicken, golden fish, eggs, shrimps etc.. and now i feel as if i got fatt !!!.. i mean its hard to breathe!!.. i ate as much as i could.

question : Does more protein intake cause fat increase in body?..

Re: Protein intake and fat gain?

not if you are eating high protein and low fat.

The stuff you mentioned may be high in protein but keep in mind lemon chicken, and golden fish tends to have batter and is fried which is why you feel "fat".

Re: Protein intake and fat gain?

moderation and watching proportion is the key to a balanced diet. :>

Re: Protein intake and fat gain?

Every source of protein will have some fat . You just have to watch how much of it you take in per day. And it is better to divide your meals out. Instead of having two sandwiches at a time, leave one for later.

For the answer, yes and no. You are a strong man, and for proteins to accumulate as a body weight is only possible when it exceeds your body weight, but even in that case, it is recommended for body builders to take in 3-4 times more than their bodyweight because 1 gram of protein per pound is not enough when lifting heavy weights.

Question : How much amount of proteins in grams do you consume on a given day? Is this a break from your normal routine? If it is, then it is good because your body is used to the normalcy now, and you want to break out of character sometimes.

thank you everyone and thank you dhobi bhai. I consume anywhere from 130 to 150g of protein a day as im currently taking a break completely from gym for about 1 more weak. (been like that for past 1 week..)No weight training, cardio and stuff for the whole next week.. the reason why i took this break was becuz i felt i was overtraining...i started getting dizzy at gym..wasnt really focusing for some reason..i thought i'd just take break and hopefully will come back stronger. Meanwhile, i've been eating just the way i used to, no change in diet..but now i started goin to this decent buffet once a week...just wanted to gain 3/5g of good weight on me..and then will start my cutting phase.

Re: Protein intake and fat gain?

I would say you are on track and that is right where you want to be in the loading phase, the kind of diet for gaining a good solid muscle mass is the one with lots of proteins and fat. In cutting phase, you will shed all of it and will be back to your best weight.

Hope you get to working out harder with a lot more focus than before.
