I have read a lot of threads where customers got burnt by vendors, or vice versa. How about gupshsup start some sort of an escrow service for all vendors/clients that buy/sell through the Bazaar forum?
It is obvious that ladies garments are the most widely bought/sold items on gupshup bazaar. I feel gupshup should consider the following…
All vendors should be mandated to share certain information about themselves before being allowed to sell. (Real name, real verifiable address, etc)
All customers should be mandated to do the same.
Gupshup could probably have a paypal acct, where all vendors should place a minimum deposit in the form of an escrow account, which would work as a guarantee.
All customers would be required to deposit at least 50% of the price of their order in the gupshup account as a guarantee.
This will eliminate a lot of apprehensions among customers and vendors, and will secure both sides. It will also expand gupshup’s level of services, without putting in too many resources.
(Dont know if this idea has already been floated before, or has already been discussed, but if it has, then sorry for the repetition)
