Protecting Afghanistan from Pakistanis and other 'good' neighbors

It is a fact that Afghanistan has seen utter destruction at the hands of its ‘good’ neighbors far and wide. Ultimately the situation got so bad that countries much farther away had to deploy their troops to guard and protect innocent Afghanis from its vicious neighbors.

Some may think that Communist Russia did the most damage. The answer is NO! The Russians may have been the catalyst in the destruction of Afghanistan, but the worst atrocities and crimes were committed by the war lords supported by Afghan neighbors (governments as well as the so-called charities).

The list of such neighbors include Pakistanis, Indians, Iranis brom the Eastern and Southern border while Uzbeks, Tajiks, Chinese, and Russians have raped Afghanistan from the other side of the borders.

This double sided intrusion into Afghanistan by its neighbors must stop completely if the poor Afghanis ever want to see a semblance of peace in their gad-forsaken country.

Thus the Afghan borders from all sides have to be protected by Afghanis+Allies AND ‘respected’ by its neighbors.

One of the most important Afghan border is the one with Pakistan. This particular border is turning out to be the biggest contributer in the death and destruction of Afghanistan.

Afghan government and NATO must move majority of their troops to Pak-Afghan border and shut it down like an iron curtain.

Then only then, Afghanistan will have a chance to survive.

Re: Protecting Afghanistan from Pakistanis and other 'good' neighbors

surprisingly missing from the list of countries that screwed afghanistan up are white masters. or maybe that wasnt surprising after all..

[note] No need to get personal [/note]

Very childish and stupid article....

some affected by XINOPHOBIA some ISLAMOPHOBIA our dear bor/sis burqaposh in grip of Pukhtunphobia....Allah Sahit dee.

^^

So far the replies have been from those, who want to continue anarchy and bloodshed in afghanistan. Terrible!

Re: Protecting Afghanistan from Pakistanis and other 'good' neighbors

whats terrible is your living in a make-believe world where white man is right and your kind is wrong unless you rally behind him.

wake up, burqa. there is no need for you to be the willing slave and prostrate and grovel like this to please the gora saab.

Respecting Afghanistan's borders is a phobia? In reality it is a pity to see so-called Pakhtun nationalists trying to disrespect and ultimately destroy the very concept of Afghanistan.

60+ years and with every moment Afghanistan has been destroyed brick by brick, building by building by the tribal warlords, and here we have some intellectuals who beat the torn-up-drum of ethnic chauvinism.

Here is a simpler example for the guppies.

If someone's house has a brocken boundary wall, and all the donkeys and camels have turned his backyard into their animal-poop-highway, then what should that person do?

Cursing the donkeys and camels is one way,

but

rebuilding the boundary wall is much more civilized way.

Take your pick bro!

You forget that gor years even prior to the invasion by the Russians, Afghanistan was trying to destabalize Pakistan.

Pakistan being a young country, and having already had a hostile neighbor to one side, has every right to defend itself.

The Russians invaded, and were kicked out by the help of Pakistan, Saudi, and the US. Most Afghans are are proud of that time and are happy to have had the support...
Pakistan did have a tendancy to support the Pashtuns more then others, but considering we have a huge Pashtun population in Pak and a history of Afghan hostility to contend with, its seems understandable keeping in mind long term issues for Pakistan.

You obviously dont seem to understand that most of the damage post soviet era was due to the warlords... They started fighting among themselves and ended destroying much of Kabul.
Outside of Kabul and the major cities, Afghanistan was the same mess its always been.

The Taliban were sent in with the support of Pak, many of whom were veterans of the Russian war, and they managed to gain control of much of the country. Initially, they were welcomed.
They turned out to be idealogical cavemen, but in international politics, who gives a crap.

So basically, if your going to try and crucify PAKISTAN, learn some history first.
If Afghanistan wanted peace, they shouldnt have tried to destroy the peace in Pakistan. All fair in love and war as they say.

You need to blame Afghanistan aswell for the mess its in.

No one is trying to crucify Pakistan in this thread. It is all about protecting Afghanistan from irregular Pakistanis and other neighbors who are killing innocent Afghanis.

And one of the reasons for this mayhem in Afghanistan is its porous borders. Thus it is a key to secure Afghan borders if they ever want peace in their country.

The only way to protect Afghanistan is to make them stand on their own two feet somehow...
And then, force them to cease all hostility towards Pak, which means keeping Pakistans security needs in mind even in dealings with India.
The Pak Kashmir issue should also be resolved to defuse tension between India an Pak.
The Porous border will always be there, cant do anything about that.

Yeap. And a part of "standing up on their own two feet" is to protect Afghani borders by Afghanis from irregulars coming in from neighboring countries. I hope you understand it now.

Thats not gonna happen... No Afghan govt in their right mind would ever seal the border completely, and neither would an PAKISTANI Govt... The tribals would be up in arms in no time, and this time it would be a nationalist issue.

Taliban tribals are already up in arms, legs, torsos, and severed heads. What else are you expecting?

And the non-Taliban tribals are hiding like mice or already gone to jannat. So no arms and legs there.

This type of woosy attitude has already lead to so much death and destruction. If Afghanistan wants to remain like a respectable country, it must respect and get respect from neighbors for its borders.

One can't live in a house without boundary, where all kinds of donkeys bray and camels dump poop. One must have defined boundaries in order to have a house. Otherwise it is no house, just a poopie-place.

The terrorists only represent a small segment of Pashtun society... They have little support from the mainstream Pashtuns... To raise a nationalist issue like the border would include many more Pashtuns including the Millions that support secular parties like the ANP. Then you would have a real headache on your hands.

Yes the Islamists Terrorists represent small number of AFghani Pashtuns.

Thus Afghanistan should not have problem controlling them, and thus securing its borders.

Pakistani Pashtuns can go climb a tree, because Afghan border control is an AFGHANI responsibility.

Ordinary Afghans are begging for basic essentials like bread and water and above all security. If they leave Afghanistan as borderless entity, they will never get security.

Just like you won't get a secure house until you set up a clear boundary of your house.

Re: Protecting Afghanistan from Pakistanis and other 'good' neighbors

Don't worry, the 17K U.S. troops have come to save Afghanistan from its "good" neighbors. And they'll do it all on their own without the help of Pakistan and other "good" neighbors. All hail US Army, boo the rest! Right? right?

Right! Right! Right!

While American soldiers travel all the way over from USA to come and defend Afghanistan,

the Islamic Afghanis are smoking hashish (at least virtually) and utterly failing to protect the borders of their homeland.

Wah wah. Kiya kehnay brave Afghano kay.

LOL the same brave US gals that couldn't save themselves in S. Ossetia..

Burqa we have Jokes forum too, your post will have better impact over there.

Oh Bhai,

This thread is not about US soldiers only. We are talking about protecting Afghan borders from the irregulars slipping through and creating havoc in Afghanistan.

Do you have anything to contribute to the main topic?

Yes plenty, Just shutup if you don't know the ground realities.
