Pros of Stick mixer

Aoa All

I have a food processor and that really works well. I was just wondering if anyone can help me here narrating that any extra function the stick mixers can do. Are they worth purchasing if one has food processor and a mini chopper at home?
Thanks

Re: Pros of Stick mixer

Great for blending a chunky sauce/masala quickly. My mom has used it once or twice for saag and haleem when she was too tired to keep mixing lol. I think they’re useful and rather inexpensive. You could do with a food processor and blender…but i guess a hand/stick mixer is more convenient. Less dirty dishes anyhow lol. I also use mine to make quick individual smoothies/milkshakes in the glass.

Re: Pros of Stick mixer

Oh I love mine.. I use it to mix haleem, daal that I want to make liquidy. Even smoothies. I have blender, food processor everything but this one stick mixer I use the most. Easy to clean easy to use. And Its pretty cheap.

Re: Pros of Stick mixer

Stick mixers/immersion blenders are my favorite kitchen gadget!!! Like others said above…it’s the best for ghotafying haleem, daals, soups, stews etc…

Re: Pros of Stick mixer

I just bought mine a month ago…I love it..!!
It is a very basic model and was not pricey at all…it is easy to clean (as compared to a blender) and easy to store (i keep mine in my cutlery drawer).I have used it to make masalas (onion, tomatoes, yogurt) or just blend tomatoes, smoothies, soups, and a few days ago I made mint chutney in it.Works like a breeze.
Definitely recommended..!

I use mine for pureeing chunky masalas, but frankly I don’t like using it for haleem. I like the lacey kind of haleem and you don’t get that stickiness if you blend. I do use it for making chutneys. I would buy a good one if I were you I bought a cheaper one but it didn’t last. My last one was awesome used it for 4+ years

Re: Pros of Stick mixer

^ agreed. i bought a cuisinart one about a month ago and used it for haleem, but it made it too pasty. i like my haleem to have some “danay” in it. i’ve also used it to make guacamole, hummus and chutneys and its great!

Re: Pros of Stick mixer

Thanks all a lot. I agree automne to go for a reliable one instead of cheaper. My friends here say like if you get the appliances of cheaper brands they last for 1-2 yeras then its fine but why to always have a pain of colleciting things again and again my mom and MIL are using appliances that are now even 35 year old but working perfect. One time investment saves you for years. Thats why i got food processor of Kenwood and Insha’ALlah will get stick mixer of some renowned brand too, so thanks for your replies.
Haleem I dont like danedaar so stick mixer would be working for me then Insha’Allah. JazkaAllah Khair u all
